After several cancellations, Mistful Crimson Morning is finally making its return—with a full reboot. Now under the direction of both original and new developers, this Friday Night Funkin’ mod brings back the SpongeBob-inspired rhythm battles with revamped visuals, haunting tracks, and creepypasta twists.

Set in the familiar but twisted world of Bikini Bottom, players will face off in rap battles against eerie versions of beloved characters. The mod stays true to its roots while introducing fresh designs, remastered music, and smoother animations.

📖 Prologue

Beneath the peaceful waves of the Pacific Ocean, under the glow of moonlight, lies Bikini Bottom—a bustling underwater town home to jellyfish and sea creatures of all kinds. One quiet night, the entire town gathers for a clarinet concert by none other than Squidward Tentacles.

But the performance goes horribly wrong.

As the crowd erupts in boos instead of applause, Squidward’s fragile confidence shatters. Ashamed and overwhelmed, he stumbles off stage and heads home—his mind teetering on the edge. But his breakdown is interrupted when he encounters two strange, colorful figures unlike any sea creature he’s ever seen. They stop him… and challenge him to a music battle.

From there, things only get weirder.
